Hello everyone! My name is Aimee Marks, and I am so excited to be a part of the team at Kidzone Preschool and Childcare Ministry. Here is a little about myself:

I was born and raised in Michigan (Go Blue!). I graduated from Williamston High School in 2010, briefly attended Anderson University, and graduated with my Associate Degree from Lansing Community College in 2014. I have been a Shelbyville resident for 9 years. I’ve had the privilege of being married to my husband, Wes, for almost 8 years. Together, we have been blessed to be the parents of our adventurous four-year-old son, Trevor, and our fur children, Rosie and Rusty.

Prior to my role at KPC, I worked in Shelby County Schools as a middle school and high school special education teacher assistant for 6 years and have enjoyed time spent as a stay-at-home mom. My Associate Degree was obtained with a focus on early elementary education and music education, and I have a passion for music therapy. In the months to come, I will be working towards my Child Development Associate and certifications in early childhood music education for ages 0-7.

I grew up in a Christian home. Both of my parents worked full-time in ministry at our church. I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 5 years old, but I will admit that I never truly understood Jesus’ love for me until I was well into adulthood. I was baptized in January of 2018 and continue to marvel at the goodness of my God. He has and will continue to guide me through the good, the bad, and the ugly of life. I pray that God will use my experiences in this life to help shape and nurture every child and every family that comes through the doors of Kidzone Preschool and Childcare Ministry.

I look forward to meeting you and teaching your little one(s) more about this beautiful world God has created!
